“No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”
C.S. Lewis

Be a Light Bearer - Turn Darkness into Light!

Our future may seem uncertain, but God is faithful.

"By faith, Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
~Hebrews 11:8

"Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the one who is leading."
~Oswald Chambers

"You, Lord, are my lamp;
the Lord turns my darkness into light."
~Samuel 22:29

"Trust perfected is prayer perfected."
~EM Bounds

"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand - shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven."
~Matthew 5:14-16 (Message)

Psalm 10:1

"Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?"
~Psalm 10:1

No matter how secure a person is in their relationship with God,
these feelings of abandonment easily crowd our minds
when circumstances overwhelm and darken our thoughts.

We hear it said, "You are the one who has moved, not God,"
and it is the act of continuing to focus on feelings
instead of trusting in him that moves us farther away.
When dark clouds block our vision of him,
trust moves us back into our Father's arms.
